Mission

The Village Project builds the village every parent deserves by connecting families to compassionate support, trusted resources, and timely perinatal mental health care. Through community partnerships, professional education, and systems advocacy, we strengthen the network of care so that every family has access to the support they need to thrive.

We envision a future where every parent is surrounded by a village of support, every healthcare provider has a trusted pathway to connect families with care, and every community has a well-trained network of professionals dedicated to perinatal mental health. By fostering connection, expanding expertise, and advancing equitable systems of care, we strive to ensure that no one has to navigate pregnancy or parenthood alone.

At The Village Project, our work is grounded in the belief that supporting parents is both a public health priority and a matter of social justice. We are guided by the principles of matricentric feminism, reproductive justice, and the ethical values of the social work profession.
